The Undependable

The Undependable Storm – One that keeps in embrace, one where true love is born.

Yes, you can’t trust me…

You can’t trust me
to be something that
I’m not.
You can’t trust me
to remain frozen,
and not to evolve.

You can’t trust me.
Like water with rock.
Like a moth with light.
Like birds of
wandering flock.
Like a lamp lit
for night.

You can’t trust me
not to be intense,
passionate & relentless
for love.
You can’t trust me
not to be restless
for what’s more.

You can’t trust me
not to be responsive
of what penetrates the heart.
You can’t trust me
not to share it with
my partner in all!

You can’t trust me
not to be transparent with you,
just to protect you
in short-term
gifting you
a long-term’s haul.

You can’t trust me
to be the one
who sets everything
right for you,
drawing out some
magic wand.

You can’t trust me
to create a world for you
that’s unreal.
You can’t trust me
to keep you in an illusion,
closer to what’s actually not.

You can’t trust me
to make you completely
dependent of me,
that you loose your say,
you loose your being,
you loose your soul…

You can’t trust me
not to be different,
not to be unforeseeable,
to be on a set course,
to repeat everything
just like before.

You can’t trust me
to be insensitive
of what’s going on
all around.
You can’t trust me
to shut off,
to be indifferent,
to be without a response.

You can’t trust me
like ships don’t trust storm
yet one wonders
if they’re made
to spend life on shore.

You can’t trust me
to be anything like anyone…
You can’t trust me
perhaps also because
I’m unlike any color
that you’ve come to known.

Yes, your insecurities are well placed.
You can’t trust me indeed.

– Dedicated to all lovers with the trust issues and the eternally untrustworthy beloved.
