Translation:
Did you ever notice albeit for a moment after the evening…?
How come trees look awfully so silent after the evening…?
Silence such that even roads are beyond apprehending…
What if valleys too would decant after the evening…?
Committed I, a crime quite the same after our breaking…
As the storm leaves a home all-vacant after the evening.
What before the arrival of evening – was a flight endearing…
Had left nothing but few wings in torment after the evening…
As the night passed I reflected over all the sores radiating…
On whose shoulder my head had leant after the evening?
You are a sun, what would you know of a night’s hurting…
Land someday at my porch nascent after the evening…
Perhaps a day might come when returns my wayfaring…
I keep hence my door open to an extent after the evening…
— Dedicated to the lonesome evenings…
tu ne dekha hai kabhi ek nazar sham ke baad
kitne chup-chap se lagte hain shajar sham ke baaditne chup-chap ki raste bhi rahenge la-ilm
chhoD jaenge kisi roz nagar sham ke baadmain ne aise hi gunah teri judai mein kiye
jaise tufan mein koi chhoD de ghar sham ke baadsham se pahle wo mast apni uDanon mein raha
jis ke hathon mein the TuTe hue par sham ke baadraat biti to gine aable aur phir socha
kaun tha bais-e-aghaz-e-safar sham ke baadtu hai suraj tujhe malum kahan raat ka dukh
tu kisi roz mere ghar mein utar sham ke baadlauT aae na kisi roz wo aawara-mizaj

Thank you, truly wonderful poetry. I would never have appreciated it if not for your translation.
